The piece is a 36-inch square. I birthed it from my obsession and observation of the Charles River in Boston over 17 years.
The rusted light at dusk burns so brilliant.
It's liquid shades of vermillion, at a distance.
The icy Charles River's deceptive flow,
Some water fights for life,
Some dies slow.
I fall in love with the lazy frozen banks,
That run still this distance.
